Valley News and Views Page 5 January 7th, 2010 The Pastor's Column Let us talk of God's love, which is the very essence and nature of who God is, for as John writes in his first letter, "God is love" (4:8,16). In Memory of Irvin C. Olson August 15, 1922 - Janurary 7, 1991 God looked around His garden, And found an empty place. Then he looked down upon this earth, And saw your tired face. He knew that you were suffering. He knew you were in pain. He knew you never would get well, Upon this earth again. He put His arms around you. And lifted you to rest. God's garden must be beautiful, He only takes the best. Dad, you may be gone but we will never forget all you showed us and taught us.
