IJrt(gh with the I:Jt(tch. r by Lec Beaucl]amp We continue our "Brush Bunch at work" with this photo of Mary Ellen Kirking painting a Chickadee perched on a tree branch. Mary Ellen joined the Brush Bunch in June after retiring from teaching in May of 2012. She is a very bright spot in our group, very jovial and great to work with. We did have a lot of fun as she painted this Chickadee. As mentioned a while ago, plans are in the making to visit, as Laurel has dubbed the group, the South Branch of the Brush Bunch. Several former members of the Brush Bunch have moved to the Grand Forks area. We are making plans to have a coffee party with them in March, weather permitting. The group includes; Adeline Belanus, Adeline Morrison, Elaine Braaten, Rosa Thorfinnson, Trudy Leigh and Sandy Granger. What a fun day in the making. It seems we have picked a theme for our Art Show in May 2013. The theme picked is "May Basket". Many ideas have already been suggested and we are serious about using them. A group from the Brush Bunch will be holding a scratch art craft day at the Pembiler Nursing Center in February. Come see the Brush Bunch at work and enjoy a cup of coffee and a look around.
