For May Story Hour in Drayton she will read stories such as MRS MILLIE IS SILLY, 600 BLACK SPOTS AND GALLOP. The flannel graph story will be "Traffic Jam", and the craft will be umbrella puppets. Special Whimsical Wednesday At the Senior Center There are a couple of special Whimsical Wednesday events coming up at the Sugar Bowl Senior Center. All events begin at 12:25 p.m. and everyone is welcome. The events are as follows. May 22nd Samantha Lahman from Pembina Events County Extension Office will give a presentation on Patio Gardening. May 29th - Rae Ann Johnson from National Family Caregiver Support Program will give a presentation on the Family Caregiver Support Program. Pembina County Historic Preservation Committee to Meet The Pembina County Historic Preservation Commission will meet Monda May 13, 2013 at 7 p.m at the Historical Society Museum, Highway #5 West, Cavalier, ND. The meeting is open to the public and everyone is encouraged to attend. Donaldson-Renstrom Engagement Announced Sara Donaldson of Karlstad, Minnesota and Gregory Renstrom of Drayton, North Dakota are pleased to announce their engagement and upcoming marriage. Sara is the daughter of leffery and Margaret Donaldson of Karlstad and Gregory is the son of Terry and Barbara Visness and the late Daniel Renstrom Jr. of Drayton. The couple will be married May 25, 2013 in Stranquist, Minnesota. 00mont Saralee On April 29th Saralee Hoselton and Lynette Restemayer had lunch together at the Cedar Inn in Cavalier. Linda Hoselton took Saralee Hoselton out for belated birthday lunch at Shannigan's in Grafton April 30th. Later Saralee drove to Fargo where she had supper at the Geoff and Hope Hoselton home. That evening Geoff, Hope and Saralee went to Carl Ben Eielson Middle School to attend their Spring Vocal Concert in which Dakotah participated as a member of the 8th Grade Choir and the Honor Choir. On Thursday Marvin and Clarice Mosolf went to Happy Joe's in Grand Forks to celebrate the 3rd birthday of their great-grandson Noah Kirkeby. Steve and Ellen Marciniak visited Richard Steenerson in A/tru in Grand Forks on May 3rd. Ellen Marciniak was among those who attended the funeral of Sarah Gierszewski at St. Edward's Catholic Church in Drayton on Friday. On Saturday Mike and Judy Stellon went to Fargo where they took Doug and Carol Born out for supper. Among those attending the funeral for Janice Carlson at St. Edward's on May 4th were Ellen Marciniak and Saralee Hoselton. On Sunday Peter Marciniak and Steve and Ellen Marciniak went out for dinner at Fuji's in Grand Forks to celebrate Ellen's birthday. Then they went to Altru and visited Richard Steenerson. Dean Young and Saralee Hoselton were among those attending the monthly pot luck dinner at Sugar Bowl Senior Citizen's Center on Sunday. Word was received that Micki Hoselton, daughter of Adam and Catie Hoselton and granddaughter of Saralee Hoselton, Shirley Linster and Ken and Liz Linster, received a Star rating for the French horn duet in which she competed at State Music in Minot on Saturday. Adam is the son of Joel and Donna Fricke, Bismarck. Caitlyn is a 2010 graduate of Century High School in Bismarck. She earned her degree in Cosmetology at The Hair Academy College in Bismarck, and is currently employed with Regis at Kirkwood Mall in Bismarck. Adam is a 2006 graduate of Century High School in Bismarck. He earned his degree in Mechanical Maintenance at Bismarck State College, and is currently employed with the maintenance department at Cloverdale Foods in Mandan. The couple will be married on June 3rd in Jamaica, at the Riu Montego Bay Resort. A reception and dance will be held on July 6th, in Bismarck. The couple will reside in Mandan, ND. Caitlyn is the granddaughter of Ray and Sherry Hanson of Drayton.
