Along with painting Leona is an avid photographer as is shown by her display at the Brush Bunch Art Show # 39 held in May at the Legion Hall here in Walhalla. Leona discovered her talent when she took a watercolor class several years ago. She later tried acrylics which seems to be her favorite medium for painting. As for photography it is evident that flowers, antiques and a wide variety of objects are her subjects. In an earlier brochure Leona mentions that she has a son and sister are oil painters and figured some talent must flow in her veins. She found this to be a myth. Leona is presently serving her second term as club president. Our next July meeting is on the 20th and in August we will meet on the 3rd, 17th and the 31st. Stop by for a visit at the Gallery on Main Street Walhalla anytime between 10 AM and 4 PM.
