Lutheran Parish Mission Trip The Drayton Lutheran Parish is once again heading up a trip to the Grand Forks Mission on Sunday, August 4th. They're expecting to serve 250 people a meal of ribs with all the salads and trimmings. They'll be leaving Lutheran Church. Anybody who would like to join in should meet at the church. Don't have to be Lutheran. If you'd like to make some bars or help prep food, give Jan a call at 360-2796. A Fine Mess Kind of got messed up tonight with the school insert. Had some technical difficulties and then I at3:15p.m, from the Drayton Continued Bottom of Page Grand parents are Jim and Shelly Olson of Grand Forks, Nick and Gen Rutherford and Marie Rutherford of Drayton. Great grandparents are Tom and Catherine Brey- Marler of Grand Forks. Saralee Hos( Mike and Judy Stellon took Landon Mapel to the Hallock Fair July 19th. The next day Mike and Judy Stellon were among those who took part in the Tom Landowski Memorial Ride. Monday July 22nd Saralee Hoselton took Faith, Dakotah, Grace and Sami Hoselton back to their Fargo home after they spent the weekend. That evening Dean Young and Saralee were among those attending the annual meeting of the Ox Cart Trails Historical Society held at the Tisdale Manor Dining Room. On Tuesday Dean Young was a morning coffee guest of Richard and Gayle McConnell. That afternoon Richard visited John and Jan Styles. On Wednesday Richard and Gayle McConnell went, to Warren where Richard played as a member of the Second Wind Band as part of the parade for the opening of the Warren Fair. That day Gayle McConnell was a visitor at the Chester and Donna Kalka home. On Saturday Merv and Phyllis Holter; John and ]anene Nyegaard, Nolan, Dylan, Megan and Colton; Derk and ]olene Maggert, Caitlyn, Mackenzie, Natalie and Reagan went to Walker, MN, to greet a new family member. Craig and Ann Holter had a baby boy July 26th and they named him Case Allen; he weighed 10 lb. 2oz. and was 21 inches long. A Fine Mess Continued discovered the page count wasn't going to work n order for the insert work out right. So, it's now 3 a.m. and am trying to squeeze things together to make it all fit. My apologies. Sometimes you get so tired you just want to pop in one huge picture and be done with it. Haven't tried that one yet. Big Winners Word is that the fishing team of Branden Patterson and Tom Grzadzieleski Jr. took first place at the cat fishing tournament in Grand Forks over the weekend. Speaking of fishing, 28 fishermen from South Dakota and Nebraska, stopped at the C-Store for snacks on Monday. They were on their way to Canada via the Roseau area. They've been doing the trip for 20 years, always stopping in Drayton. They were all grocers or in grocery related businesses. Good thing Kelly was recovering from his wife's class reunion or he would probably wanted to have jumped on board with them. You know besides making sausage, Kelly loves to fish. I've just a little room to let you know that his Sausage of the Week this week is oh-oh Saturday morning Ben Tucker and his granddaughter Ella McWilliams visited Richard and Gayle McConnell. That day Saralee Hoselton went to Fargo where she met Ardis Haaland for lunch at Appleby's. Then Saralee picked up Faith, Dakotah, Sami, and Grace Hoselton and brought them back to Drayton for the weekend. Jim Ebertowski and his wife from Virginia visited Steve and Ellen Marciniak on Saturday and also on Monday. Later on Saturday Ellen shopped in Grand Forks. Mike and Judy Stellon went to their Warroad lake home on Saturday and returned Sunday night. Sunday visitors of Steve and Ellen Marciniak were Sarah Marciniak and Joey Marciniak. Sunday Saralee Hoselton and her granddaughters from Fargo went to the Frost Fire Summer Theater presentation of "The Music Man".
